Low-Carbon Ferrochrome
To GOST 4757-91
The addition of chromium improves the strength and yield point of steel and reduces elongation insignificantly. The presence of chromium in carbon steels improves their hardness and wear resistance. Chrome leads to reduced ability of steel for cold strain and deep drawing as well as to its reduced forgeability and rollability. Ferrochrome is used to make complex alloyed steels and cast iron.
