Foreign Visitors at Kluchevsky Ferroalloy Plant
For long Kluchevsky Ferroalloy Plan has been the focus of interest
from potential foreign partners. At the same time the plant management
has always aimed at expanding their international contacts. On September
7-8, 2005, a group of foreign specialists visited the plant: Alan
Ewart, the company's British technology consultant, Steffen Fischer
and Thomas B?ttcher, representatives of the German concern VAROMET-GROUP.
The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with production technologies
existing at the plant. One of the issues discussed was ways of entering
new markets in Africa, North America, Great Britain, France, Poland
and Bulgaria. The guests visited the ferroalloy workshop and the
production facilities for Cr-powder, aluminum-content briquettes,
powder wire, the pilot research unit, and the laboratory.
During the discussions the guests and the management of the plant
developed a joint strategy for resolving common issues. The guests
emphasized the fact that they were fully satisfied with the outcomes
of the negotiations with the plant management.
