VIP-Visit to Kluchevsky Ferroalloy Plant
In the end of September 2005, Galina Kovaliova, the first Deputy Chairperson
of
Sverdlovsk Oblast Administration on economic policy and development,
visited the
administration of Sysert Municipality and met representatives of local
authorities,
businesses, health, education and social groups. The agenda was to
discuss social and economic development of Sysert Municipality for
the eight months of 2005.
One of the speakers at the meeting was Sergey Gilvarg, Chairperson of the Board of
Directors of Kluchevsky Ferroalloy Plant (KZF). He was talking about financial and
economic highlights of KZF performance in 2005. He also focused on the problems
the company was facing at the moment. One of issues raised was the relations with
raw material suppliers, particularly with the joint stock company RUSSIAN CHROME
1915 who was breaking its contractual arrangement with KZF.
After the meeting, Galina Kovaliova and Alexander Roshchupkin, Head of Sysert
District Administration, visited KZF production facilities. The VIP-visitors and the
KZF management discussed prospects of the company's development.
In Mr Gilvarg's opinion, the important outcome of the visit is the fact that Sverdlovsk
Oblast Administration has expressed their willingness to support the ferroalloy
industry.
